    Description

ITEM: This is a vintage and original physical culture pin-up photograph of brief Hollywood starlet and radio singer Joan Brooks captured by the photographer in the middle of a strengthening exercise. This still was used to promote Brooks' uncredited role in the 1941 action-adventure-crime film "High Sierra." The press snipe on verso reads:
Good posture is the result of a good straight spine. Joan Brooks, youthful Warner Bros. player who is appearing in HIGH SIERRA, does a series of exercises which strengthen and straighten the spine and improve posture. Following through on the above two steps, she kicks her leg to the left as far as she can, brings her torso completely around to the right following through with the left arm.
Photograph measures 8" x 10" on a glossy single weight paper stock with studio paper caption on verso.
Guaranteed to be 100% vintage and original from Grapefruit Moon Gallery.
