Hamamatsu L613-04 Deuterium UV Lamp
For sale- a Hamamatsu L613-04 Deuterium UV Lamp.
Normally if I had something like this it would be because I decided to part out whatever piece of scientific equipment it was in.
But this was in a padded Hanau box so no doubt that’s how I got it to start with.
The Hanau box is marked as “probably bad” but then in much bolder lettering “
good
” as you can see.
I would have to assume somebody wanted to save the Hamamatsu so they tossed the probably bad Hanau and used that box to protect it.
Why would you keep bad lamps?
The ultraviolet bulb had a rubber band of sorts around it which was covering the model number.
That tore when I tried to move it to get a look at the lettering on the lamp.
I would assume that was there to block radiation in a certain direction in a certain application, I would guess you could probably glue or tape it back in place if necessary or remove it altogether.
I will leave that to you.
