They're heavier and thicker than your usual plastic playing cards and are 100% washable in case if you accidentally spill soda or something else on it.  Lastly, you can feel the texture of these cards unlike those you buy at your local convenience store.
This set of cards are considered Poker Index cards which mean the pips (card stand and suit) are displayed differently than the Poker, Texas Poker, and Golden Trophy decks.
