    Description

postcard of the Wequetong Club in Traverse City Michigan pm 1910.
the Wequetong Club was constructed on the point of land between the Boardman River and the West Arm of Grand Traverse Bay (near where the West Bay Beach, A Holiday Inn Resort is now located) in the late 1890's and served as a social club for residents as well as tourists.  People would stop for a swim in the waters of the bay, rent a boat or enjoy a meal at the club's restaurant.  In fact, Traverse City was originally known as Wequetong or "Head of the Bay".

If you see spots on the scan, they are a result of the resolution of the scan and not on the card itself, its a polarization effect. There is a small crease in the bottom left corner of the card.
